Trying to figure things out!

Baby exercise classes

We have just passed the 8 week mark, so it’s time to try and lose the pregnancy flab and to find some different activities for E and I to do together!

I did pregnancy yoga, so I think that we will do mum and baby yoga as well, but that doesn’t start until January. So today we went to Buggyfit. I was worried as I’m not really very fit, but I thought we’d be walking / jogging with our prams and at least I’d have something to lean on, but we had to leave our babies with the teacher and jog around on our own! E is not happy in a pram that isn’t moving, so he just cried for most of the time! So, I’m thinking that Buggyfit just isn’t our kind of thing.

My plan is to try Latino Bambino next week, at least that way he’ll be in the sling, which he likes.

Otherwise, we’ll just have to do some less active activities! Maybe we’ll go see Happy Feet 2 at the Mum & Baby cinema next week, that’s probably more our style 🙂

Any other activity suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Bye bye visitors

Our little baby E is 8 weeks old and we’ve just said goodbye to our last overseas visitor. For the past two months we’ve always either had family staying with us or we’ve been preparing for the next set!

It has been lovely for everyone to meet our little darling and to have the help and support during these first couple of months. But…I am really excited for it just to be the three of us for all of December and January. I can’t wait to spend Christmas with my perfect little family!

Our First Night Out!

Last night we decided it was time to go out for dinner without little E (he’s 7 weeks old). Hubby’s sister babysat for us and we just went to the pub down the road.

It was so difficult! I was holding back tears, I just missed him so much and felt so lost not looking after him. I lasted about an hour and a half and then speed walked home! I couldn’t wait to see him.

Does it get easier? I can’t imagine feeling ok being away from my little man!
